Children born to mothers who are older has long been linked to various health problems ? and of course its not possible (or at least really difficult) for women to have kids when they are a lot older because of menopause.? But for the most part age hasn?t seemed like much of a issue for older men who want to have kids.
New research published in the Journal of Medical Genetics shows that the older the father the greater the chance of children having chromosomal abnormalities caused from copy number variations.
And its not that I want to hear bad news for older men wanting to become fathers, but it does kind of help to even things out a bit.? Maybe it will reduce the number of older men getting involved with much younger women ? or maybe young women may think twice before becoming involved with much older men?
